The Process Of Pocket Installation

Once the installer has removed the old unit and taken out the damaged or rotten wood and is left with the rough opening, they can then rebuild the window frame with new jambs that will support the replacement unit. Full frame replacements typically include a nailing fin or flange that makes it easier to secure the replacement with nails at several points on the sides and header.
